* July 5, 2014 Meeting (Notes by MasterJagStar2):

Topic #1 - The Training Script

Recently, many members at EPF believe the Training Script to be either lacking in detail, too long or too short and or dated. In many cases THR's agreed with these criticisms of the current dynamics of the Training Script. During the meeting, many gave suggestions, ranging from a change in the EPF rules to cutting sections of the script such as ADC out all together. Training High Ranks are currently in the process of making changes to the Training Script, as we too believe it is dated and should be subjected to changes. Likely changes to the script entail tweaking the EPF rules within the script, so it's in line with the EPF rules stated in the Main Badge Forums. Teaching recruits about what the levers at FTF do and changing the layout of the script so it is even more easier to copy and paste. In despite of this, THR's decided not to add extra questions to the test, which focuses on the functions of the various locations within HQ. We believe this will unnecessarily increase the length of training sessions. We've also decided not to scrap ADC from the Training Script. ADC is a traditional section of the Training Script that has always been apart of EPF and would therefore be counter-productive to the 'rebuilding of the Elite Police Force'. We believe the addition of Mock HQ will solve many of the issues and worries highlighted by those who attended the meeting.

Topic #2 - The Construction of Mock HQ

ThunderWolfX and a team of builders are currently building Mock HQ. This will be an exact model of HQ were you will be able to give a tour to recruits after training, which will hopefully help them have a better and more conclusive understanding of the Basic Commands. There was a unanimous feedback from those who attended the meeting. The majority complained about the current HQ layout and how it lacks in space for movement. Many also complained about FTB not actually being in the Back of HQ (the same with FTM). Ideas such as adding tents to the Mock HQ were extremely favourable. This would allow training to be done in Mock HQ as well as it being a place for tours and so resolves the issue highlighted by Ravineman, who believed transporting recruits between training rooms and Mock HQ could prove a difficult task for trainers. Training High Ranks are in favour of this idea and will be sending a recommendation to ThunderWolfX, recommending the use of tents in Mock HQ and a possible change to HQ design. 

Topic #3 - Training Rooms

There are two potent issues with the training rooms as they currently are. First, they are ejecting trainers and recruits out. We believed this problem was due to where the door was located. Despite it being moved, 90% of those who attended claimed this issue is still ongoing. Secondly, 50% of those who attended claimed that they had witnessed both training rooms being occupied simultaneously. The Training High Rank will be writing a recommendation to ThunderWolfX, in hope a third training room can be built. One individual believed that the size of the training room was unnecessarily big. We believe they are, but it is better to be prepared than not prepared - especially if changing the training room design will cause a lot of effort and time.

Topic #4 - Training Day

We are currently thinking about hosting a training day! It will be an all day event, which will be focused on the inter-socialisation between Trainers and also with standards. It will also be focused on promoting the Training Division and EPF itself. Divisional heads were annoyed that their divisions wouldn't be included in this event. A meeting will all divisional heads will hopefully be established in the near future, so a collaboration can be devised. It is likely that we will hold some kind of event, that will have prizes of sorts. We will also play games like 'Guess the Promo Tag' and 'EPF Trivia'. A Football tournament, with each division having their own team has also been discussed by Training High Ranks. Hopefully these ideas will be converted into a working reality also in the near future.

Topic #5 - Training Uniform

THR are currently designing a new uniform for Trainers. We believe it will make the division look visually more unified. Trainers is the only division to not have a strict uniform policy. This was originally the policy because we felt that trainers have the most demanding job in HQ, in comparison to Security and other divisions and so deserved this privilege. There was in general a mixed response. HR+ tended to like the idea of a new uniform, where as trainers themselves generally liked the idea of not having a training uniform. We, Training High Ranks, are very much interested in hearing everyone's view - especially trainers. A poll will go up in the training forums on Friday 11th July, 2014 and will close on Monday 14th July, 2014. The poll will give us a better understand of how everyone feels about the addition of a new trainers uniform. In the meantime, Training High Ranks have decided that we won't enforce a set of stuff you can wear, but rather enforce a list of stuff you cannot wear. This is hopefully a satisfactory compromise.

* August 24, 2014 Meeting (Notes by MasterJagStar2):

Topic #1: Divisional Instructors

Divisional instructors are special trainers that will be able to train all of the other divisions. This concept came to be due to divisional recruits having to wait for long times to receive instruction in their division. This rank will soon become official over the next weeks, and will be between the ranks of Training Instructors and Training Supervisors. A thread will be posted that contains ALL of the Divisional Training Scripts. Each division will have a corresponding script and a guide of how to go about training. The Divisional Instructors will be lead by the Director of Divisional Instructors, but the space is currently vacant. Each divisional head has sent MasterJagStar2 an updated version of their divisional script in preparation of implementing this in the near future.

Harry posed an idea of having a folder titled : ‘Divisional Trainer’ in “caps” and then in a folder have all the necessary scripts. MasterJagStar responded to the idea of the individual thread. He claimed he had ideas similar to that of Harry’s. There is a rank requirement to be Head of the Division, and the HoDI is a THR rank.. Everyone unanimously agreed on advertising the rank on the forum as well. iamcool911, and Zolongith offered to help with the guides and scripts. EchoWinds posed the idea that all new divisional trainers should be instructed on how to perform and act in the rank. 

Topic #2:  Point and Punishment System

The Point System is a system in which choices are made on promoting someone and if it is alright to promote them or not. The point system entails the following things: All trainers below Jnr. Training Instructor will need 5 points to receive a promotion. All Trainers above Snr. Training Instructor require 10 points. All Trainers between Jnr. And Snr. Instructor requires 7 points. Trainers are given points after fulfilling specific tasks; Failed Training = 1 point, Successful Training 2 points, Supervising is 3 points, and Instructing is 4 points. This system is an incentive to train and causes no one to be under or over promoted. The Training Log must be consistently kept in check in order for members to receive their points, even if a recruit leaves during training. 

The punishment system will be 3 strikes and then a punishment. Trainers receive strikes by failing to train when asked or by breaking EPF rules. After 3 strikes the trainer receives a punishment, and after a punishment their strikes are reset. Punishments can only be distributed by THR’s. Strikes are kept track by adding it to punishment log. People are NOT punished for inactivity as well. If someone is inactive without an explanation they will not be punished but will HAVE a talk with a THR. (mainly to ensure they are okay)

A separate thread will be made in the Trainer’s Forums for the two systems which explain their purpose, and more. A log for keeping track of Points and Strikes was posed as an idea by iamcool911 and agreed upon. Another idea posed by iamcool911 was to put the amount of points needed for a promotion on the Official Training Ranks list which was agreed upon. An Instructor’s log will be added into the forums in the coming weeks. An idea was proposed that if a Trainer works at FTF for a certain period of time, they are able to receive points but this won’t be implemented until the rest of the system is figured out. A rank requirement to award points parallels with the rank requirement to promote up to a certain rank.

Topic #3: Trainer Complex

ThunderWolfX and a team of builders are currently building Mock HQ. This will be an exact model of HQ where trainers will be able to give a tour to recruits after training, which should help them have a better and more concise understanding of the Basic Commands. Recruits are not trained in the complex but access to the complex is available through the three doors which will be added once the complex is finished. No additional ideas were put into the complex.

The meeting moved to the Training Complex in it’s current state. MasterJagStar2 gave a tour of the complex and also talked about future plans.

Topic #4: HRs+ and Training/Supervising

EchoWinds formally introduced himself as the new Head of Supervisors, and discussed the lack of respect that some HR+ display while supervising or watching in on trainings. He also discussed how most HR+ do not log trainings or supervising into their respective logs, and some HR+ don’t train altogether, when needed. MasterJagStar2 volunteered to post a thread displaying his views on the situation with HR+ and EchoWinds agreed with his decision.  Harry further added onto the discussion with his personal experience of being interrupted and more. Harry proposed the idea that if a recruit is abusing the trainer, the recruit should be done and not let back in. Trainers are always welcome to discuss any problems with recruits or other members with THR members as MasterJagStar2 pointed out.

All the THR and Trainers need to befriend eachother and build strong friendships.
Also need to make sure all trainer ranks have a skype to add them to the Trainer's Chats.

Topic #4:
All Trainers (Trainer Ranks, THR, HR+) Should add every single Recruit the train.
They should then befriend them, by talking to them through PM.
This will help keep standards from leaving EPF and will help build our Agency.
* January 18, 2016 Meeting (Notes by RJWilson114):

1. New/Retired ranks:

Congrats to RJWilson114 for making TTHR!
Remember HoT, Echowinds, as he has retired.
Charlie (Charkky) was offered HoT and accepted.

2. J0zh Suggestion:

Josh proposed 2 Training scripts: 1 for people who have been in agencies and 1 for those who were new to agencies. 
If they have been in an agency before, they just take a test on FTF, FTM, FTB, ect. - all the things that agencies mainly teach. Then the script introduces the other things.
The second script is for people who haven't been in any agency or who have failed training or test.

3. Trainer’s Meeting Decision on Afore Suggestion: 

The decision was to stick with 1 script and add the line "Have you worked at another agency before?" at beginning and if there are any newbies you go through entire training. If not, the trainer can skip to test.

4. HQ Trash:

HQ was trashed on January 17, 2016. Because of Training division, we have relocated everyone to Backup HQ (Training Complex). Once Primary HQ is restored, Backup HQ will be used as Training Complex.

5. Training Work Logs:

All Trainers need to log on Training work logs every Sunday night. These logs can be found on the Training Forums. A section about Work Logs maybe added to Trainer Instructions.

6. Improvements of Training Division:

Scott suggests that each THR should be on a certain amount of time per week. This type of incentive gives members a reason to be online in Training Division. It was decided that each THR has to at least be on at least 5 hours a week. Also suggested was that an activeness log is to be put in place to enforce this 5 hours a week. FTM does not count towards a THR’s Activity.

7. Trainer of The Month (ToTM):

There will be a ToTM will be for January.

8. Buddy System:

Ash suggested a buddy system. Through this, each THR gets to partner with a non THR in training div to mentor over. Scott suggested that TTHR should have mentors as well.

9. Promotion of the Training Division:


Scott suggested that we promote the division more by asking standards about what division they are thinking about.

10. Training Uniforms:

Ash suggested that for holidays uniforms can change colors. Each month can have a new color. Red for February (because of Valentine’s Day), and green for March (because of St. Patrick’s Day).

Next week is purple week.

As it is becoming summer, all of us are expected to be more active since we will be gaining many new members. Example: supervising, getting more trainers and more HR+ pumped to train.

Jed: we need to explain to new standards about training and encourage them to join training by telling them the pros.
Ash: Good idea. How about when you guys see a standard, new or old, whisper to them and ask if they have been considering their division. Then you can give them options but emphasise on training. Remind them that training is the most active division as well.
Jed: And ToTM.
Scott: Mainly focus on when they hit patrol officer +
Ash: Best trainer of the month gets a trophy and 5c. This is only for Trainers and no one can earn it twice. So encourage the standards and new trainers to go for it. Focus on standards who are nearly ready to pick a division.

Scott: Promote competition between mentors to encourage trainees to train in a fun and motivational way.

Jed: Michael (MyDragonMaster) says he wants to join THR.

2. Training Script Modifications
Section 1: 
Fix beginning with name to tell them to address you as sir/ma'am.
Remove Rule 3 and add coloured chat to Rule 4. 
Add Agency Script.
Section 2: 
"Great, so let’s start with the basic commands: FTF, FTM, FTB, FTD and FTE." 
FTF - Remove section about levers. Add tour at end, which explains them. 
FTM - Change the "ro" to "to".
FTD - "This is where HR+ members sit to help you. Please come here when in need of help!"
Section 3:
Remove "These commands are very important in [EPF] so pay extra attention!"
F&C - Move to end.
SF - Move to beginning.
AE - Move to middle.
BTB - Move to the end of the Script. "There are 4 advanced commands: F&C, SF, AE and BTB." Take out BTB.
Remove "Great! Would you like me to show you how to do SF and F&C?" and have Trainers ask their recruit(s) to perform each command as they teach them.
Section 4:
Remove B/U/M? Or removed all, and have a section where the recruits practice recruiting you? Or even have a layout of what recruits should say to new members? 
Section 5: 
Rule 4 - Remove
Rule 9 - "9. NEVER use coloured chat, effect, or remove uniform."
Rule 10 - "10. ALWAYS request the [EPF] Pay Badge weekly to receive pay. You MUST work hard to be accepted."
Rule 8 - Move to end?
